I agree with you JDub....when you discover a voice like Mr. Brown's it's good to listen. I have to say though last year the Pan African Film Festival this film screened and afterwards Oscar came into the spoken word event and got on the mic....guess who had to follow him?.....I am still shuddering... - Profile No , posted 02/24/06

History well told
Being unaware of Oscar Brown, Jr's, work before this film, I was entertained, enchanted, and educated about a man whose artistic credits in music and theater slipped through his hands like sand. This story is inspiring in that in shows how history can be made my choosing to uplift the people, whether or not the spotlight catches you. With just a bit more editing and less fades to black, the film's production would be even better. - JW , posted 02/23/06
