Simply the best open mic event in Dallas. Now in its fourth year, Mad Swirl Open Mic swirls its mad variety of spoken word poets, musicians, magicians and more in n the sultry swank of Absinthe Lounge (Southside on Lamar)... hosted by my beloved sexy soul mate, Johnny O, held the first Wednesday of each and every month, quickly coming up on the next one... Weds., 1/2/08... Come join in on the festivities and help us to turn the page and begin writing the next chapter as the whole Mad Swirl of everything to come. Interested in performing? Are you a mad poet, musician, actor, singer and/or performer? (circus freaks, Tenacious D rip-offs and Elvis impersonators always welcome) Then come-n-strut-yo-stuff. Come one. Come all.
