I fancy myself a gourmand and wanted to find a "nice" restaurant for my birthday meal. After searching high and low and reading several reviews, I decided to give Il sole (pronounced ill solay (??!!)) a try. Though the menu was extensive for a carnivore, I found the vegetarian choise lacking. But it was good meal ( panzanella salad, truffle oil risotto). But the best part was the dessert. I have a very very unhealthy but extremely close relationship with creme brulee (hats off to whoever came up with that concoction). The maple creme brulee at Il sole is EXCEPTIONAL, so much so that I had to fight my buddy Jeremy (www.sandungadance.com) over it. Though pricey I enjoyed the place.
