Worst Service Ever
I took my car to the service department with a rough idle. They kept the car 1 and 1/2 days and contacted me that they had ruled everything out except two bad cylinders requiring the engine to be replaced. We are talking thousands of dollars. Since i had the engine replaced 3 years ago I took it back to All Star Japanese engines .... owner Robert Fought for him to assess the problem but not before I paid $102.50 for what is listed on the receipt from Goodson Acura as ideling rough - check plug wires and plugs. Since I thought it was a major problem I rented a car. Within an hour of dropping my car off I received a call from All Star that my car was repaired. It had a cracked plug wire. They replaced all of them for $240. I inspected the old wires where there was a huge crack about 3-4 inches long obvious to the naked eye. I contacted Goodson Service and the manger refused to refund my money.
After missing work 2 ..... 1/2 days of work ....... $35 rental and the anguish that goes with being told your car needs an engine and the prospect of having to buy a new car going back to car payments ...... they refused to refund my money for something they didn't do. They did not evaluate my car properly. In light of the recommendation to replace the engine I find this egregious and felt that I needed to post this experience to keep others from falling into the same trap. - susan burgess , posted 09/26/07

Terrible...Beware!
My husband and I went in (against the pleas of a couple of friends who recently had terrible experiences here) because they agreed to the offer we emailed them. They agreed to everything we offered (trade-in value, car price, etc). The only thing pending was the interest rate. As we waited for the finance department process our credit and offer us the interest rate, our salesman brings us an "Invoice Order Form"/contract to sign. We asked him why we had to sign it and he said "he didn't have an answer for us" and "no one had ever asked him that before." We told him that we weren't going to sign anything, especially something that looked like a contract, until we were comfortable with and aware of all the purchase's details. He nervously--almost panicking--insisted that we had to sign the mysterious, yet "harmless" form/contract that didn't legally bind us to anything but proved to the sales manager that we were serious about our offer. He was unable provide answers as to the contract's function and/or value.
He quickly stamped off and we left before he returned. It was terrible. - lou , posted 07/05/07
