I am working on a documentary called "Last In Class", profiling people who finished at the bottom of their classes in college and looking at the paths their lives have taken since. It's lighthearted in tone and, not surprisingly, reveals that failure in the classroom can have some real upside later in life (and no, Bill Gates dropping out of Harvard doesn't count). As part of this project, we are also putting together a companion piece, a book of bad report cards and the memorable teachers' comments that came with them, from grade school, high school or college. We could probably fill the book with my husband's report cards alone (one of his favorites from his high school World History teacher: "Indolence is not an endearing quality") -- but what would be the fun in that? So we need your help. Do you have some old report cards with some choice words from your teachers? Or, as a teacher, do you have a record of some of the stunners you have delivered yourself?
